Since 99% rated on Rotten Tomato’s movie, ‘Get Out,’ released in theaters Friday, February 24, the viewership increased two-fold. Thus leading to its #1 ranking with a 30.5 million in this past weekends US box-office, according to Gamespot.
If you haven’t watched it yet, in a nutshell, the movie focuses around an interracial couple, Chris and Rose, played by Daniel Kaluua and Allison Williams respectively. Chris gets introduced to Rose’s parents for the first time however, little did he know, her family had a more nefarious plan in mind. View our full review here.
Amidst the successful weekend release, the movie also sparked many subjective conversations regarding ‘interracial relationships’ on Twitter – Khloe Kardashian and Tristan Thompson being the highlight. As we all know, the Kardashian family has a knack for pairing with races other than their own, including Kylie Jenner and Tyga and lets not forget the famous Kimye. However according to Oxygen, Tristan Thompson got most of the heat.
Basketball player Tristan Thompson, tweeted on the 26th, “Get Out was one of the craziest movies I’ve ever seen!!!” This simple statement began an uproar of tweets drawing comparisons between Chris and him:
See the resemblance?
