Titled “An Interview with Rimbaud,” the 2-minute film depicts model and artist Michael Bailey-Gates as Rimabud (a major influence for O’Neil) being interviewed by Ernest Hemingway (played by O’Neil’s dog, appropriately named “Hemingway”) on the true meaning of life and what role fashion plays in it. ABOUT THADDEUS O’NEIL:
Thaddeus O’Neil is a menswear label of American luxury playwear for après surf inspired by the hobos of the sea. Made in New York City, the line features bold prints, bright colors and rich textures, constructed of the highest quality materials such as fine cashmere, wool, cotton, silk and linen. Aiming to strike a perfect balance between luxury and comfort, the Thaddeus O’Neil man understands that true luxury is the touch of nature and real refinement born of his creative movement within the world.
Founder and designer, Thaddeus O’Neil’s primary principle is exploring movement and its imminent relation to the body, textile, and garment. “Our dress and the modern destabilized hyper-speed avatar of it that is fashion–its codes, motives, mythoi, and actualities–is an archeology of play and I love that” – Thaddeus O’Neil.
