The Cavaliers “Grit Squad” host the Golden State Warriors in game four of the NBA Finals.
The series is 2-1 with Lebron James playing over 40 minutes and the unlikely hero Matthew Dellavedova locking down Stephen Curry. No one thought it would be the Cavs leading the series without Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love in the lineup. But the play of JR Smith and Iman Shumpert contributed to some success for the Cavs. There tough nose defense also comes from the big bodies of Tristan Thompson and Timofey Mozgov. Both players are wearing down the front court of the Golden State Warriors, causing havoc and more opportunities for James to run the offense. Expect the Cavs to keep grinding and slowing down the pace to try to take a commanding 3-1 series.
Golden State Warriors
The Warriors on the other hand are in trouble. There offense has not gotten into a flow since the series began. The splash brothers have not played their best game yet and are being bother by the physical play of the Cavs defense. Draymond Green and Harrison Barnes are just an abysmal to the offense. They can’t seem to get a rhythm going and are shooting way down their averages. Bogut is disappearing on offense and the only consistent player coming off the bench is Andre Iguodala. But Steve Kerr found something by inserting David Lee into the lineup. The offense flowed better due to Lee’s versatile of finishing, passing and being a playmaker. Although he is not a good defender, the warriors need his offense for the front court if they have any chance of winning game four to even the series.
